Kyle is my cousin and has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia which is a life threatening blood disease. He is looking for a bone marrow donor that could save his life. There are 9 million registered donors but he does not fit any of those profiles. Kyle is half-Chinese and half-Caucasian and therefore the best match would probably be the same. Even if you’re not half-Chinese and half-Caucasian, I strongly urge you to join the bone marrow registry because you may be a match for someone else in need or you yourself might need a bone marrow transplant in the future.
Registering is free, easy and fast. All you have to do is register at http://marrow.org/ . They will send you a kit where all you have to do is swipe your cheek with a cotton swab and send it back. Postage is already paid for.
This is my second cousin who’s needed a bone marrow transplant to save their life. Hopefully Kyle will have better luck and find a donor that could save his life. I appreciate any help, whether it’s joining the registry or passing the word around! Thanks again,
